CPR/AED and Choking  (non-certification) – 2 hour class

(Friends and Family)( Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, and AED Certification By American Heart Association

Heartsaver CPR and AED – The Heartsaver CPR and AED Course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. The course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for choking, adult, child, and Infant CPR, and AED.

Heartsaver CPR and AED teaches Basic Life Saving Skills including adult/child/infant CPR, adult and child AED, signs of choking, how to help a choking victim, how to activate and phone your (EMS) Emergency Response Number (911).

How to Get Ready  –  Heartsaver AED covers a lot of material in a short time. Please arrive on time, and ready to go. Please bring a water bottle. Books will be provided during class.  No Certification

CPR and First Aid Certification (non-certification) 3.5 hour class

Class teaches how to assess and treat injuries and medical or environmental emergencies until professional help arrives. Skills focus on keeping the rescuer safe, while providing life-saving assistance to the patient in a variety of scenarios. Students learn proper techniques to use when treating internal or external bleeding; dealing with shock; managing bone and joint injuries; burn care; recognizing symptoms of heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies and more. Students also learn proper CPR techniques, how and when to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) and how to relieve choking for adults, children and infants. Use of a barrier device to prevent contamination during rescue breathing is also addressed.  No Certification

Babysitter Boot Camp

Boys and Girls Ages 10- 16 earn Babysitter Boot Camp Certification

Learning babysitting skills is not just about changing diapers! In Babysitter Boot Camp participants learn the business of being a good babysitter through safety skills, etiquette, marketing, choosing age appropriate games, fun activities, and knowing what parents are looking for when they hire a babysitter. Participants earn Babysitter Certification and are trained in Safety, CPR, First Aid and Emergency situations. Also, this is a great workshop for older siblings, camp counselors, neighborhood babysitters, children coming home from school alone, and Girls & Boys ages 10 -16.

Home Alone Boot Camp

This program is designed for children aged 9 11 who are going to be staying at home by themselves. Many children are excited about staying home alone, but they may have a lot of questions about staying safe and taking care of themselves while parents are away. This program will help children feel good about having a routine in place to help them get home safely from school, complete homework, do chores, serve themselves a snack, entertain themselves and it will provide them with basic first aid skills that they can use to treat minor injuries while parents are away.
